God Loves To Save The Most Despicable Kinds Of People
   Home      Narrow gate h

Are you entering through the Narrow Gate?

"Are you deluded and deceived that you are saved because you have failed to come thru the narrow gate.  (Matthew7:13)

Are you willing to totally change your life so as to obey God no matter the cost?   When Jesus called, His disciples dropped what they were doing and followed Jesus immediately. Are you ready to hate everything you love to do now, and love everything you hate to do now? What are you doing to change your life now? Are you turning from your selfishness? Have you had a change of heart? Are you denying yourselves of anything? (Matthew 4:18-20 Matthew7:12)

Have you taken up Jesus cross?
Jesus is demanding total commitment from us even unto physical death.  Are you willing to take up a cross as Jesus did?  Before you answer this question ask yourself if I am too afraid to witness or share my faith, could I give up my life? (Matthew 10:38-39)

Have you confessed your past sins?  Do you confess your daily sins to God?  Are you living a repentant life?  Are you embracing Jesus Christ as your only hope for salvation? Do read your Bible daily?

What does that mean? Repentance of sin confession of sin, submission to the Lordship of Christ, brokenness humility, contrition, and obedience to the word of the Lord no matter what the cost. Martin Lloyd Jones wrote,”what our blessed Lord wants is ourselves, what scripture calls our heart, he wants the inner man the heart, he wants our submission, he does not want merely our profession, our zeal our fervor, our works or anything else, he wants us, God does not want our offerings, he does not want our sacrifice, he wants our obedience.”

The life of a saved person will produce fruits resulting from salvation.  This means that you become more Christ-like every day.  The fruits are seen in your conduct, your character, your conversation and your choices.  They will reflect how different you are than a person who is unsaved.  Your life will be characterized more by mercy, love, hatred of sin, love of God, love of His Word, fellowship with believers, moral and ethical decisions about everything you do.  A person who believes he is saved but whose life reflects continual, habitual sin, hatred, disregard for God's word, lack of fellowship, and is generally unrepentant, is NOT SAVED but self-deceived.

For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few find it.

The Narrow Gate  Matthew 7: 13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell* is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose the easy way. 14 but the gateway to life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it.
